THE MAASAI GIRLS HOME

The Smallest Seed has the great honor and privilege of raising 60 young Maasai girls outside The Maasai Mara in Kenya. For over 15 years young ladies have come to the home after running from their villages to escape FGM and EFM, often as young as 8-10 years old.  Through The Maasai Girls' Home - a rescue center - the girls receive food, shelter, education, discipleship, and medical care.  Through a variety of programs and opportunities, The Smallest Seed is helping provide the daily needs of the girls living at the home as well as developing opportunities for higher education, vocational training and skills development.  Programs aim to empower girls to become change agents in their communities, providing them with the skills and resources necessary to become self-sufficient and contributing members of their future families and society as a whole.
